What is chemical vapor infiltration (CVI)?
Chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) is a type of chemical vapor deposition process that is used to coat the internal surfaces of a porous material. Gaseous precursor chemicals penetrate the pores / fibers of the material and a solid coating is deposited on the internal surfaces.
What can our FirstNano® systems do?
The FirstNano® Easytube® range of R&D and pilot production systems can be configured for Chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) process development.
How is chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) applied commercially?
CVI is used in the production of biocompatible materials, ceramic matrix composites, carbon/carbon composites, and filtration media.
FirstNano® system platforms configurable for chemical vapor infiltration (CVI).
